Hey there,

a UX/UI Researcher and Designer,

I'm Asra!

based in Vancouver, Canada

As someone who has worked in the field of health for years, transitioning careers brought the same confusion and anxiety Dorothy felt when she opened the door to Oz’s world. The difference was, for years, I had been accustomed to seeing the world through the lens of protocols, sometimes rigid and immutable guidelines, and predetermined laws. Taking off that opaque lens and seeing the endless and multidimensional world of creativity, innovation, and design, despite its confusing nature, was so enticing and enchanting that I decided to take barefoot steps into the design’s wonderland.

I am passionate about research, and I rely on Google as my primary tool. My main focus is on accessibility, drawing from my background in human services. This experience gives me a deep understanding of people’s needs and how to engage with users to identify their main concerns and challenges. My goal is to design accessible interfaces that make everyone feel welcome and included.

When I’m not at my computer, you’ll often find me wandering around English Bay. Despite growing up in a warm, dry city, I adore water and enjoy soaking my feet in the ocean’s water and dirtying them in the sand.

I have a deep affection for Canada. My spouse and I often take spontaneous road trips to explore the enchanting and magical corners of British Columbia. One of my biggest dreams is to visit all the historical sites around the world, a passion I’ve had since childhood. A fun fact about me: despite owning an iPhone, I’m a devoted Samsung fan.

If you’re seeking a UI/UX designer who offers a unique perspective and a wealth of expertise, blending a spirited and empathetic approach with a sense of humour, your search ends here! I’d be thrilled to connect with you and collaborate on creating something truly exceptional.” 😊
